A local result worth catching up on

There’s a satisfying story in seeing a partnership put together more than one good test. At TerraNova Equestrian Center in Myakka City, Florida, Quinn Iverson and Gremlin 41 won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special on October 18, 2026, with 70.085%. It was their second victory of the week, according to the venue’s official report by Alice Collins. This is a recap of that completed competition, rather than a report from the showground today.

The placings and their context

Nora Batchelder and Nova placed second with 68.021%; Eline Eckroth and Key To B Fabulous finished third with 62.468%. The report identifies all three horses as 11-year-olds. It also records a Grade II para-dressage freestyle personal best of 72.345% for Ellie Brimmer and Langagers Krack I Love It.

Iverson has developed Gremlin 41, owned by Billie Davidson, since he was five. Their Grand Prix debuts came in March 2026. Those dates give the result some perspective: the partnership’s work together began well before its first season at this level.

A useful way to watch

For readers following dressage around Sarasota, our suggestion is to watch with one small question. Instead of trying to judge an entire advanced test, notice the preparation before a transition. Does the rhythm remain clear? Where does the rider organize the line? Write down what you actually see, then take the question to your own instructor.

A result percentage is a starting point for understanding a performance. It doesn’t explain every mark or tell you how a horse felt. Scores from different classes, including para-dressage grades, should not be treated as a single leaderboard. Different tests ask different questions, and a short report cannot supply the whole training story.

Bring home perspective

If your own horse is working at a much earlier stage, there’s no deadline hidden in these results. Choose a question appropriate to the work you already do, such as preparing a balanced halt or maintaining an even tempo. Avoid copying an advanced movement simply because it looked impressive.

The linked organizer report includes routes to the full results. Use those records when checking names and placings, and keep observations separate from assumptions about training or soundness.
